On March 19th, following Women’s History Month, Empower Women Media and Abraham Women Alliance, in collaboration with the European Association for The Defense of Minorities, organized a forum on female leadership and interfaith dialogue at the European Parliament in Brussels. Keynote speaker MEP Giusi Princi stressed education’s role in advancing religious freedom and cultural diplomacy. Moderated by Manel Msalmi and featuring films introduced by Deborah Paul, the event included panels with Rhodi Mellek (Syrian-Kurdish journalist), Dr. Firouzeh Nahavandi (ULB academic), Maneli Mirkhan (House of Liberty), Dr. Amira Helperin (UK researcher), Mariam Shaw (Sudan crisis advocate), Shreya Kaushik (cultural activist), Aye Kari Soe (Burmese youth leader), Malika Salim (French interfaith activist), Khadija Chama (Moroccan-Belgian artist), Dipali De Beco (peace activist), and Alona Lebedieva (Ukrainian philanthropist). Discussions spanned secularism, terrorism’s impact, humanitarian crises, art, and youth empowerment. Participants received media training certificates to amplify their advocacy.
